Following the opportunity to share my Masters Dissertation Thesis research at the event hosted by the Women in Architecture UK, I was contacted by the RIBA to contribute to an article to support women and men with parenting and dealing with the expectations within the architecture industry.
The research completed as part of my Masters of Architecture at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University was presented at the event hosted in May 2023, and elements of the research were further published by the RIBA in an article entitled Architecture and parenting: how practices can help aid the return to work.
Continuing the research of my Masters Dissertation Thesis and encouraging a safe environment for women and men to become parents within architecture practices and the wider industry throughout my career is of significant importance to me.
